Father's Day - Three Course Meal

Why not make your dad a Father's Day Meal? 

Follow the instructions below to create a simple three Course Meal. 

Starter: Soup & Bread or Bread Roll

You will need:

A tin of soup (Your dad's favourite) 

Bread or a bread roll

Butter 

Method: 

1. Empty the Soup into a microwavable bowl, place the soup into the microwave - Follow the instructions on the back of the tin for warming time 

2. Butter the bread or bread roll

3. Get 1 dinner plate and put a bowl in the centre

4. Carefully put the heated soup in the bowl

5. Place the breadbread roll on the side of the plate and serve

Main: Spaghetti Bolognese

You will need: 

250g Mince Beef 

1/2 Onion

Jar of Bolognese Sauce 500g

250g Pasta 

Cheese 

Method: 

1. Dice your 1/2 onion into small chunks, place these into a large frying pan

2. Place your minced beef in the frying pan with the onion and cook until the mince is brown

3. Once your mince beef and onion are cooked, stir in the Bolognese sauce

Bring to the boil then simmer on a low heat until your pasta is cooked, stirring occasionally

4. Place your pasta into a pan, cover the pasta over with water and place on the hob. (Follow instructions on the back of the pasta for the time to cook and amount of water) 

5. Once your pasta is cooked, let it drain and then place it onto a plate 

6. Scoop out a generous amount of the meat sauce and put it in the centre of the pasta

7. Grate a small amount of cheese on the bolognese and serve

Desert: Banana Custard

You will need:

2 Banana's 

Tin or carton of custard 

Method:

1. Pour the custard into a microwaveable jug and heat in the microwave following the instructions on the tin/carton 

2. Slice your banana into pieces 

3. Place the sliced Banana into a bowl

4. Carefully pour the warmed up custard over the bananas and serve
