D-Day 80th Anniversary
The 6th June 2024 marks the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, when allied forces crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy, France during World War II.
The photos below are from Adele's dad's family album, taken during World War II.
Adele's grandads, William Rose and William Patrick and a family photo taken in 1941, showing Adele's Grandma and Grandad Rose, in the middle is her dad, Brian as a young boy. This photograph shows the pyramids of Egypt as William Rose was a 'desert rat' and served in Egypt under General Montgomery.
