Travelling with Amy

Adele's niece Amy is travelling around Thailand. Here are some photographs from her journey.

Amy is now in Koh Phangan, she went to Bottle beach and climbed up to the view point which was very steep. The view was amazing which looked over the bay and beyond. She caught the boat back, got off at Khom Beach and went to the view point to look over the bay.

It rained so hard in the night that Amy and her friend had trouble getting out of the bungalow, the rain had created a river around them.  A lady had to create a bridge out of wooden planks so they could cross over and carry their stuff out of the bungalow.  Amy then travelled to the island of Koh Tao and for a very cheap price managed to get a villa with a private pool on the balcony. She walked to the Sariee Beach and then went for food in a family run restaurant.

Amy and her friend went over to Koh Nang Yuan which is three small islands joined by sand on a low tide. They climbed up some steps through the trees to the viewpoint. The view was amazing, she could see all three islands. When they came down, they headed to another beach to go snorkeling.

Amy went to the other side of the island in the hunt for turtles and reef sharks (they didn't find any) and hired her snorkeling gear from a local hut. In the evening they went for dinner in a road side hut and had a delicious noodle soup dish.

Amy and her friend travelled off the island to the mainland and a place called Chumphon. They got a speedboat and then a bus to their accommodation which was in a small village alongside the river. They spent the evening cycling around on free bikes that had been lent to them.

Boat trip

Amy cycled again today and also kayaked down the river, she couldn't go too far as the tide was quite strong. She went for lunch at a locally famous restaurant called Yai Puad.
